Writing for Film and TV

Alrighty!
I’ll make you guys admins as well so you can add people to the group if anyone else requests it. :)

Yay <3

Have either of you committed yet? I’m trying to talk my dad into it tonight, though I have a while being a transfer.

I haven’t officially, but I’m definitely going to, USC being my dream school and everything.

Same here, I am just hoping for a good financial aid offer.

Good or bad, I’m going. I’ll cope with the debt by taking on post-production jobs if I can’t sell specs or anything.

Same. The debt is going to kill me if FAFSA doesn’t return much but I’ll deal with it somehow :)

Is anyone going to check the school out in April? I was planning on going to either one of the Explore USC tours or the Admitted Student one.

I RSVPed to the admitted student reception today. It’ll be my fourth or so time at USC.

Just joined the FB group (thanks Sydney!). And though I haven’t officially committed, USC is my dream school so I’m pretty sure I’m going. Since I’m from Toronto, I’m probably not going to the admitted student day. Does anyone know what exactly happens on that day? I want to know what I’m missing…

Noo problem.

The admitted students reception is pretty much a big-ol’ tour from what I can tell. It goes from 10am to 3pm, and you get lunch. Many people will see the school for the first time on this tour and such.

I haven’t committed either, but as of now, it’s my number one. I’m also waiting on the financial aid, it will be a big determinant. It’s either USC or University of Florida for virtually no cost at all, haha…

My line of thought is similar to both of yours though, that I’ll just “cope with the debt,” haha.

Any of the tours would also be difficult for me, I’m probably the furthest away of anyone! But we will see as the weeks progress.

Jumping in —

If you haven’t been to the campus, Explore/admitted student day/etc are really good options to consider. If you have been (and your family has been) it’s nothing you’ll miss much. At orientation, though, you’ll be grouped with other WST students for a majority of the day as they run you through the program (with your parents next to you…)

Orientation. I wonder how that is going to be for me as a transfer to this program.

Pretty lonely :< There may be like…one or two others.

We had four transfers, one who dropped out. I think one of them was 30 when she graduated with us – so, I bet you won’t be the only one, either! It’s not weird, though, unless you make it weird. The other two that stayed were only two years older than us. (I think 20/21 in the fall?)
