So i wrote my AP BIOLOGY free responses in pencil. Anyone know of anyone who got into some serious trouble for this? PLEASE do not joke, im a little off.

At first i was going to raise my hand and ask before we began our 10 minute reading period, but someone else asked and i heard the proctor say "sure you can use pencil". But people are telling me the proctor only meant for the 10 minute reading period, and i did not hear this.

I choose pencil over pen any day, and i did. Are they going to toss my exam :(? It's not like it's hard to see, the graphite is very clear on that number 2 pencil.
I'm convinced that nothing's going to happen, BUT WHAT IF!

Are you SURE that you can't use pencil? Because I know for sure that you can use pencil for the FR on Calc BC, Chemistry, and Physics C (Mech & EM).

I wouldn't worry about it because some girl used a pencil in environmental science test before and apprantly she passed just fine.

They probably don't like pencil because it smudges.. but if they are reading 1000+ essays and there's one essay that's in pencil (but still very readable) I don't think they'll even care.

it said on the exam that you could use a black pen, a dark blue pen or a #2 pencil...i think the only reason they bring pens into this is because it would be easier for markers to read since pen is darker...and there's the smudging issue uyulove mentioned... but i'd assume that if you wrote clearly with an apporpriate pencil, you should be fine...

Hed you actually read the instructions on the back of the pink book, you would have seen the following paragraph, in bold type, a little over halfway down the instructions:

You are to write your answers in this book only with a black or dark
blue pen. Be sure to write CLEARLY and LEGIBLY. If you make an
error, you may save time by crossing it out rather than trying to erase it.

In this case, your essay will be read and scored. However, your life in the future will be a lot easier if you ALWAYS read the directions first when they are provided, rather than listen to someone who may or may not have read the directions they were supposed to follow.

Crooks earn a very good living, without breaking any laws, because people don't read or understand what they are signing.

I think all Math+Science ones allow pencil because there can be a lot of erasing? I think........~_~ Because I did use pencil on CALC and Physics

o.O wow.. people actually read the directions? Lol! I guess I'm lazy... I almost never read the directions, maybe glance over it... but I always use a pen, as it's easier.

But yeah, like people said, writing in pencil shouldn't affect your score. Don't worry ^^
