Question: Five years (in the writing), her new book is (both a response) to her critics; mistrust (with) her earlier findings and (an elaboration) of her original thesis.

Bleh the answer is C but I just don't see how..

I’m no expert, but I think that the idiom is:
mistrust of

But, i’m not really sure…

I just really need a list of those damn idioms that keep popping up…

^there’s really no magic list of idioms that are expected to come on the SAT’s. I guess you just have to know them. Sure, there’s a list of idioms that have occurred in the past in this forum (just do a forum search) but none that is inclusive of all the idioms CB will test.

Yep, mistrust of. There’s a huge list of idioms at usingenglish.com - I can’t remember how it’s organized (been a while since I visited and I can’t remember the specifics), but it might be helpful to you. Unfortunately, that part of the site seems to be down now. But you might take a look later.

The best way to prepare for idioms, though, is just to read everything you can get your hands on. You’ll see it all eventually.

^ Okay thanks man.
