GE Seminar/Writing II Requirement:
One of the TEN courses used to satisfy
the General Education requirements above
must be either an approved lower division
seminar or a 2nd Writing II course in an
appropriate foundation area.
Does this mean that if I chose Option 2, that I have to take a GE that has a (W) attached to it? In addition to that, I have to take another Writing II Class? If I have GE with a W attached to it, does it mean that I am able to satisfy the GE and the writing requirement at the same time?

If I just choose the GE seminar, I will have a GE taken care of and all Writing II requirements?

Also, how much different is a seminar course from a (W) course?

Yes to the first part but you still have to take one more Writing II class. The DPR is...vague...to say the least. I had to ask a PEER counselor to explain it to me about 15 times before I understood it.

FYI and FTR:
For option 2, it means that you can take any College WII course for the
first requirement, but your second WII course must be on the GE list. If
you do option 1, you can take any WII course for the first one and your
second course must be a lower-division seminar on the GE list.

-ASK PEER COUNSELOR

I know that everyone was waiting for this response... so there you have it. Please close this thread. It is the final word.
