Writing In Summer

So as a rising senior I think it would relieve a great amount of pressure from my senior year if I write my essays in the summer? Do most people feel that is a good idea or is Fall the better time to write. I only ask because I see a lot of top students waiting until Fall to write their essays. Maybe the pressure is what makes the essays great?

I made this thread recently. It didn’t get too many replies, but the general answer was that although it is great to do your essays in the summer, most people aren’t able to give up ‘summer’ time for essays when they are due 5 months later.

Even if you can’t finish in the summer, at least get started. As far as I know, prompts are available by August if not much earlier. You have time to think about topics, write drafts, get feedbacks, rewrite, rewrite.

I’m in the same position as you, when it comes to writing the essay. However, I know that fall of my senior year is going to be extremely hectic, so I plan to get my personal essay done during the summer. Even if you don’t want to get it done during the summer, I would say at least get it started, and see where it takes you. The earlier you get all of this college stuff done, the better [or so I hear]. This way you can make the most out of senior year :stuck_out_tongue: happy writing!
