A professor would like me to write my own LOR and he will sign it for me. Is this allowed?
I mean, I would love to write my own even if it was not allowed, but I don't want to get caught. He said he wants me to put in there things that are truthful, but exaggerated a bit to look better.

Can they spot my writing style in the LOR from my SOP?

I'm a bit scared to do this. I don't even know how either!

It’s allowed and happens more often than people think, especially with very busy faculty or faculty who don’t particularly know you or care about you. I think it’s awkward as hell and I wish it weren’t allowed just because it puts the student in a really weird situation.
Go ahead and write it up OR if you fell uncomfortable about it, give your prof a very easy to transcribe list of your accomplishments and qualities with your goals.
