Writing MC

Hi:)
I'm seeking for help because I'm having trouble with idioms.
I think this is mainly because I speak English as a second language..
On my last SAT test I got 740 on writing..since then..I've improved a lot.. but I still consistently miss idiom questions.

So...I've been looking through some threads on idioms..
but what I'm really looking for is a large source of idioms that have a pretty good chance of appearing on the SAT.

Can anyone help me out? (maybe any books on idioms, websites, or consolidated lists?)

“740 on writing…since then…I’ve improved a lot”

It’s not possible to improve a lot from a 740.

silverturtle, for someone who wants to achieve more and has higher expectations…raising 20-30 points could mean “improving a lot”

I, disagreeing with the characerization of an increase of 20-30 points when one has a 740 as a great improvement, confirm the opinion in post #2.

On a more relevant point: I don’t know of any nearly comprehensive idiom list for the SAT, despite having looked.
