Hi! I had a really quick question about the exam.

I got a 29 on the ACT Writing/Reading combined, but a 31 overall. The second time I took it, I got a 32 on ACT Writing/Reading combined, but 30 overall. So the UCs took into account my first score since it was higher.

Same with SAT scores. Writing first time was a 710, while the second time was a 660. I got a higher overall score the second time, so that was the score taken into account.

The writing sections for the higher overall score barely fall under the average required to pass UC writing requirements, while the writing for the lower overall scores are higher than the cutoff. Do you think I could call and point this out? I sent the UC’s record of both ACT tests and both SAT’s.

Thanks!
