<p>** I chose c, but the right answer is A. why is A right? and why doesnt c work? </p>

<p>** I chose B, but the correct answer is C. Why is C the right answers? Why cant B work?</p>

<p>1) the purpose is to do something, the purpose doesn’t do anything itself. so ‘what some think it does’ is wrong because that would be saying ‘what some think the purpose does’. ‘it’ refers to the purpose. Although the purpose is an action, the purpose does not act</p>

<p>2) The businesses are recovering because they are in the process of recovering (they haven’t fully recovered yet). If they finished recovering, Chris might just buy stocks in them and not just “consider” buying stocks in them.</p>

<p>“…businesses who recover” refers to businesses that do recover, but we do not know if they are still recovering. They may very well recover in 20 years. For example, I eat food, but I am not currently eating any</p>
