Writing Question: "Since Which"

Please explain what’s wrong with this sentence in improving sentences and how the correct answer is better. To what common error/s does this belong?

Born of Ibuza parents in Nigeria,Buchi Emecheta moved to England in 1962,since which she has lived in North London

Correct:1962,and has lived in North London since then.

I don’t if this is correct or not, but I correlate since with 'has ’ because it’s trying to say that she has lived in London and still living there until now.

The original sentence would probably be correct if the word “time” was added after the word “which.”

Fewer words is (almost) always better.

I agree with @CHD2013, “since which time” is the standard phrase but still sounds awkward.
