I'm stuck between A and C! which one is correct and why?

<a href="http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/864/img5119g.jpg/%5B/url%5D">http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/864/img5119g.jpg/</a>
^i have no clue how to do this!

You’re asking about 11? I’m not sure since you’ve posted two images.

It really can’t be (C) since the antecedent for “they” is missing. Who’s “they”? E has the same problem.

It’s not B since the use of “that” followed by “was that” is silly.

It’s not D since the phrase “for the idea” is also silly. In any case the phrasing is awkward.

So it’s A. Reread this sentence from beginning to end with care. It logically and correctly introduced each clause. It doesn’t require “commas” to clarify the context for each clause. All those commas in the other choices are a byproduct of awkward phrasing, that in addition to grammar errors.

@fogcity, i think your looking at different questions! the question numbers of the 2 images above are #2 and #7! could you try to help again please?

^that’s one of them!

2. C. “Also” is completely redundant in choice A.

7. B. The if constructions don’t work (eliminate A and D); C improperly uses which as a subordinator; E introduces a comma splice.

Agreed with ^ .
