So here are three questions that I got wrong, and don't really understand. Anyone care to help me understand why they're wrong? Thanks!!

First two are simply matters of improper idioms. They should be “condemn as” and “from having.”

The last one I’m not 100% confident about, but I’m gonna go with C. Choices B and D commit the same error as the original, dangling modifiers. So that leaves choices C and E. Choice E is wordy and doesn’t really make sense so C seems to be the best answer.

1 - D. not idiomatically correct
2 - D. you can’t have boredom at something lol. not idiomatically correct
3 - C. weird question

Gahh. I’ll need to get these idioms down. Does anybody know where I can memorize idioms (or if it’s even helpful to do so)?

Also the correct answer to the second question is B. :/

I’m assuming it’s because the correct idiom is “tendency to” and the phrase should be “tendency to change” but why are we changing it from “of changing” to “to change?”

wait, is 10 c? It sounds awkward

Taken from the god of grammar, Silverturtle, himself:

Don’t feel too bad for getting this one wrong though, CB gave it a 5 on a difficulty scale of 1 to 5.

so im sure about the first one. i think the second one is D and the third one is D or C. idk for the last one. but is the second one D? im seeing mixed answers here. what about the third one?

Answers are

1: D
2: B
3: C

the last one is way too awkward.
