Writing Questions.

In a recent mock SAT test that I took, in the identify the underlined error in the sentence part of the writing section, there were two questions I was unsure about.

One of them started with Presumed that it was(all underlined) dead, bla bla bla. I was wondering whether "Presumed that it was" is an idiomatic error, because it would be way more concise to say Presumed to be or just Presumed dead?

Another one was, As technology becomes more pervasive, humans lose sight of the fact that tasks which are now trivial to accomplish just a decade a go would seem(underlined) impossible. I don't remember any other parts underlined in this sentence, but "would seem" stood out to me. Should "would seem" have been " would have seemed"?

“would have seemed” is a subjunctive.
Normally, “would have done sth” is used like this: If I had done sth, I would have done sth.
