I didn't get a 680 on Writing on SAT (I got 640), I didn't take AP Lit, so now I'm short of the writing requirement.

How can I skip it, or if I can't when can I take a class? Lastly, is the class "easy"?

either take the analytical writing placement exam offered by the UCs or take College Writing here...i heard it was manageable..but it IS 6 units

Either AP English exam counts right? I took the Composition one and got a 5.

no, you only get credit for writing 1a, whereas a 5 on the literature will give you credit for 1a and 1b

thats so stupid i got a 670.

Retake the test, or take the placement test given by Berkeley. You should be able to get out of it one way or another.

Monkeys, I did not know that and I am not taking the literature one. I thought it didn't matter because I was only going to get credit for 1a. I could have sworn that I read that either exam could cover only the first writing course.

I guess I was mistaken.

yep. if you want to look at the official site regarding english credit, see http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/requirements/rc.html

Damn, another test. Ugh

haha, I got a 670!
