<p>Can anyone describe the writing samples that are requested at either Commonwealth or Middlesex on the interview day? Hoping to allay anxiety of child who is planning to visit. No need to give specifics, general description would be much appreciated.</p>
<p>My kid said it was a generic question that could easily be answered. I heard from a tutor the some schools like to compare SSAT essay and writing sample with applications to help verify kid wrote own responses to application questions.</p>
<p>At Commonwealth it is more like a class assignment - you do two pieces during two free periods and choose form 3 options. One is sort of short answers about a story or poem, one is more creative writing and one is sort of a logic question.</p>
