Writing score URGENT

I scored a 510 for my first time taking the sats. I want to get around a high 600 low 700. I'm taking them again next month. Should I look at silverturtles guide? Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, check out silverturtle’s guide. There are many others you can find if you need more help. After that, take as many practice tests as you can and check the answers you got wrong to understand them. Good Luck!

Use this website to start off

[SAT Grammar : Practice tests and explanations](SAT Grammar : Practice tests and explanations | Major Tests)

Go over all the tests, then go through all of the ones you got wrong and make sure you understand why you got those wrong. After that, just keep practicing. That’s basically all I’ve done so far and I have drastically improved my writing score. If you need you can go over some grammar rules and a list of idioms as well

Yeah, silverturtle’s guide will be good.

Not a bad site, but the questions differ a lot from the actual test.

OP I have a similar story, the very first time I took the writing test I got a low score of 490. I was stumped, but someone recommended me to read Sparknotes: Seven deadly writing screw-ups. If you are already good at English, but just can’t identify errors easily than that article is definitely for you. I improved from a 490 to consistent 700+ (assuming that I score a 10+ on the essay) in a matter of 3-4 days.

Edit: I am only recommending the “The Seven Deadly Screw Ups” because you said you wanted a high 600- low 700, and if you ever decide to change that goal to getting a pure 800 I would recommend Silver Turtle’s guide.
