I did not study for the writing because I had so much work in my school. Today I found out I recieved a 730 in writing. DO you think this is a good score? Should I retake for higher since I never studied for it. I prefer not to retake it because I initally thought I would recieve a 500. Thanks

avanex20, it all depends upon what type of college you aspire to go to. If you're aiming for the Ivy Leagues, I would recommend retaking, especially since you didn't study thoroughly and the potential to raise your score is just tremendous.

I got a 700 writing - 78%. That is a very good score for me on writing - on Barrons MC I was getting 25 wrong, so that is a great improvement for me! And I omitted 6 on the real thing, so I guess they loved my essay and I did well on the MC as well! w00t!!

Yeh Crypto I know how you feel. I think I skipped like three on the writing test and I thought that my MC was a disaster. I am guessing I got an 11 or 12 on the essay which I felt was pretty good. I dont think I can retake it though because I still have to retake the SAT I. I think im happy with this score. :)

I think alot of people have good scores on these standardized tests; we just have really high expectations. Plus they've gotten more competitive, and people always want to "beat the system" anyway. But 730 is still great!

i studied so much for the oct writing test and got a 710...it turned out that i got an 8 on my essay which i sooo wasnt expecting. itook it over in nov without studying more and got an 800 so u should definitely retake it if ur not happy cuz a lot of it depends on who reads ur essay and just wht qs u get
