But CRMan, those aren’t two independent thoughts: “her fingers tapping” is just describing her while she’s sitting. The sentence is definitely fine.

i think the desert one had a mistake in the sentence, like half of it was plural and half of it wasnt, but the wrong part couldn’t be corrected…

did anyone else notice this?

sethoramma i had that writing section too, none of my friends did so it was the experimental =]

whereby was with black lightt i thinkkk

and there was hte black hole question… uhm ive DEFINITELY seen that one beforee!!

system ‘in which’

ah great!
i knew it! it was so awkwardly written, so i suspected this was an experimental section. I did so much better on the regular writing section.
CID2010 Was your first writing section the first section of the MC test-- 2 ?

The essay for this one was amazingly easy you could talk about soo much. Steroids scandals in basketball or if you don’t think it’s required in success(Michael phelps… passed his drug testing) then talk about war and how you should throw out your ethnics and just try to win war (i used civil war) … so many things you could do with it. I was really happy it was so general and easy.

oh, there was the question about ‘starving out a cold’? something about either scientists conducting studies, or scientific studies being conducted. sorry, i have a bad memory lol. do you remember changing the sentence to create ‘scientists’ and changing ‘scientific studies’ as a whole?

sorry but i’m drawing a blank here, what was the passage about involving the “angry old lady”

I made an example of a friend feeling that somethign was not ethical and as a result not doing well on the tests. Then my other example was of the Gilded Age and the robber barons–Vanderbilt.
And i mentioned Samuel Golden Rule Jones as an exeption.
I only had two lines as a conclusion and it was weak–ran out of time
I think ill get a 10 ish

ehh i didn’t like the essay but i managed to pull an 11 when i took the sat as a 13 yr old so i’m hoping that i’ve matured a bit as a writer in these 4 years. i used 2 examples - one with middle class progressives & reformers and muckrackers and another with macbeth & regicide. first grp followed ethics, passed reforms, convinced ppl of corruption during gilded age. macbeth abandoned ethics, killed king but only became paranoid & was murdered in the end.

AP USH comes in handy, doesn’t it? haha

For the Olga question I put B- “her fingers were tapping…” because it was exactly like A only past tense like the first half of the sentence (at least I hope I read it correctly)

There was sentence along the lines of “being so distant though from the museum, we opted to walk…” what did you guys put for that? All of the options seemed weird. I put A.

i believe it was scientists conducting studies.

So no one picked whereby for part of an answer??

^ yes it does!! haha though i don’t really agree with the progressives and how effective they were … lack of gov regulation didn’t change much

what about the question involving the teachers/professors… the one with the choice “for which”…which sounded really awkward.

how many No errors did u get? i got 4
