Writing Section - 2009 March SATs

which writing section was experimental?
I had 3rd and 7th sections as writing
The 1st writing passage ended with a passage on migratory birds
The 2nd writing passage ended with a passage on returning to Ireland

I’m hoping the 2nd one was experimental XD I think I did way better on the 1st section.
and I REALLY need a 750+

Choice A for the mueusem one. Though distant… or something

black holes - wasn’t that A or B? B I believe, the original was wrong

museum one i did A… it was the onlly one that was grammatically correct

I think for the black holes that A and B were wrong because they said black holes but later in the sentence it talked about “its” which is singular.

HEY GUYS
is it just me, or was there a question from RR on the test? (it may have been experimental one?)

The one in RR says:
“The degree of error in calculations done by ancient Mayan astronomers long before the invention of telescopes were, even by modern standards, incredibly small” (115).

WAIT actually, I think the one on the test was something about calculations before calculators…or something…

but anyway just wanted to announce that I lol’d at that question.

Also ditto with ^…“its” needs to go with “a black hole”

yeah for the black hole one i believe i put D?

Something like that, I think the sentence started with A black hole (either C or D, probably put D).

ugh, so no Whereby as a choice??

yeahh black hole was D

The one in RR says:
“The degree of error in calculations done by ancient Mayan astronomers long before the invention of telescopes were, even by modern standards, incredibly small” (115).

RR? Anyways, I'm confused. The answer is that the degree WAS SMALL not were small...</p>

That one was experimental the?mark

there was one ? on sec. 10 about foundation not checking grant recipient’s to see if they had used funds in accordance with rules…what was that one?

i think i put b but maybe it was c.

b: the funds were being used in accordance with its rules
c: they were using them according to the rules … or something?

Did the question with the flood and the turtle use a semi colon? Or was it ,and they were they survived because … turtle…?

A or C?

I think i put ,and for the flood one (if that was a choice, may be thinking of different q).
Delian: I put b: the funds were being used in accordance with its rules

WAIT. No one told me, was whereby ever an answer for the writing?

the turtle one, yeah, i put a ’ , and’

i chose the answer with ‘result’ not ‘when’ with the flood & turtle. i thought result showed cause & effect

100% the semicolon was wrong
it had an incorrect verb tense
I remember because I was like “thank god they messed up the verb tense on one or I never could have decided between the two” XD

but I don’t remember much else, it was such a blurr

I remember some of the answers to the turtle one had a made up word.

how about the big writing passage? it was something about the barrens may seem, to some, i said may seem.

for fondation i put B- the funds were being used in accordance to its rules
