Writing section was ridiculous for October.

I got 68 MC and 10 Essay for a 700.
meh i’m happy with the essay but i usually do a lot better on MC

I got an 800 on the writing section on the October testing with an 80 MC and 9 essay, and I know someone else who had the same in a previous testing as well (though if the curve is harsh one would probably need a 10 essay).

Apparently…they say that 30% of writing score is essay and 70% of score is m.c.

this is the first time i’ve not gotten an 8 on my essays… i was pretty happy when i saw i got a 9

I got a MC : 71
Essay: 11

Which gave a 740–fine with me!

How many questions did I get wrong?

wow, essay had a nice impact on your score

schrizto, u got a 76 MC and a 10 essay and scored 770? I got the same thing but scored 760…

68 mc 11 e 720
75 mc 10 e 760 (may)

hollow~
i got 69 mc 9 essay, with a 690, u got 10 essay, 710 -.-???
meh i hate the grader who gave me a 4…

lol, we had the exact same score

I had a 79 on MC and a 10 on my essay, and got a 790. I know someone else (on CC) who got an 80 MC and a 9 on essay. He got an 800. So, he got 1 more on MC but 1 LESS on essay. Don’t you think that 1 whole point on an essay should carry more weight than 1 point on the MC?

I got 64 MC and a 9 essay and got a 650

^well i got a 79 MC and 8 essay which turned out to be a 750. gah i’m so mad at myself…i got a 12 on the ACT essay and a 10 on the SAT essay last time.

i think the essay shouldn’t carry so much weight. i mean they throw a 20 minute essay at you first thing on a saturday morning to welcome you into the next four hours of testing which will soon feel like one long mindnumbing eternity…what do they expect?!

haha yeah, i’m really bitter. i don’t even understand why, i definitely achieved my target score, but i guess it’s just knowing i was so close to doing so much better even though i never expected it. haha a day ago i would have been fine with even a 10 point increase on my writing section. but now i know getting a 790 on writing like my MC predicted would have felt downright amazing, especially b/c i never realized i did so well on MC (i was expecting like a 70 max). it would have been like an 80 point increase on that section alone from my last test.

sigh yeah okay i’ll quit ranting now…

MC 79
Essay 11

Score 800

62-7 with a 600… 3 multiple choice minus 1 essay point docked me 70 points?

76 MC 11 essay = 780

I think with a 9 essay and 80 MC you could have gotten an 800, which means that this writing section was harder than other ones. I know that 11 Essay and 790 MC was an 800 too. So I guess the curve was pretty light? I could be completely wrong.

How strange…

I also got 76 MC 10 E and 760. How’d you get 770 lol?

Lebron, who are you referring to?

69 MC and 11 Essay = 730.

Very surprised with the 11 Essay. I did not write any essay on the practice tests (too lazy.) and read over the RR Essay section the night before.

How many MC did I get wrong??
