Writing Supplement Error (Your advice is GREATLY appreciated!!)

Hello all!
So upon receiving an e-mail from NYU regarding my writing supplement not being submitted, I decided to investigate further and realized that none of my writing supplements were submitted on the Common App! Needless to say I somehow overlooked the fact that writing supplements needed to be submitted separately (I know, I'm an idiot and I feel awful). I was able to submit my supplements for all other schools on the Common App (I assume I was still within the submission deadline for those schools). However, for NYU and Penn, I was unable to do so. NYU sent me an e-mail telling me to e-mail it to them (which I did) and upon this realization I quickly e-mailed Penn asking them what the procedure is. I'm aware that they do contact students with missing application elements, and so what I was wondering is - do you think it's too late? Will they still accept my writing supplement?

Thank you for all advice/help/words of encouragement. They come greatly appreciated. Again, I feel so stupid for all of this, but I'm hoping it'll be alright.

Thanks again.

I believe they will incorporate your supplement (yay!). While I’m not an adcomm member, my reasoning:

1) So many schools understand that **** happens, ESPECIALLY with common app this year, so they give students leeway.
2) Every school knows how stupid Common App is.
3) There’s lots of time left before they release decisions, and they’re obviously not done by now.

Good luck!
