writing the SAT essay

Some people tell me that I should memorize my examples before the test and simply twist my examples to fit the prompt. What is a good number of examples to memorize and know well for the test? Is just 2 enough? And what sources should I try drawing them from?

I memorized about 30 examples and was confident that I could answer any prompt by using 3 of them. I've heard people say they can answer ANY question with 'Great Gatsby', World War II, and Rosa Parks, but I don't think that's a good idea... Anyway, yes, the memorizing examples bit is true and does work. Memorizing a few quotes wouldn't hurt either.

that's dumb.

sorry, but it seems like a waste of time to me.

Get something Contemporary, something from history and something from a book and you'll be golden
