Writing with Confidence

I don't think writing huge just to fit 2 pages is a good idea. If I were a marker, moderate in font size tells me that you are confident about what you're writing.

Remember, it's the quality and the way you express yourself that matters.
A friend of mine took the SAT twice. For the first time, he wrote 1.5 pages and got a 6. He filled all the space but wrote in super sizes and only got a 4 for the second time.

Although some people say that quantities do matter, I would still adhere to the theory in which "quality > quantities". As long as you have between 275-450 words you're in good shape.

The point for having 275-450 words is because in that way, you'll have an essay that will MOST LIKELY express your point of view exhaustively.

Well, you obviously cannot write fluff with no context, and your writing should also not be verbose. But, even if you use the most concise language, if you use 2-3 good examples and develop in depth, than you will likely end up writing a lot. Because your writing won't be forced, but you will actually get into it, start having some fun, write more smoothly, and actually develop new little ideas that will end up making your essay more unique. For me, the integration of spontaneous ideas usually occurs near or in the conclusion. Do not underestimate the power of a great conclusion by the way, many people do.
