Ok so how do I know that the decision I received is the correct one? After all, I just read an email from the admission office congratulating me about my acceptance... the problem is, the "Dear ....." part was not my name! Now, any1 been through this before? Is this another Vassar thing where I was notified wrongly? Or maybe I'm just paranoid. :C

This is something you need to look into ASAP. First, look back over you application to make sure you spelled your name right (unlikely I know, just check). If you did, call the admissions office, explain the issue, and an adcom should be able to look up your decision to give you a final word. They might just have had some technical error. Hope you got in!

Ooo…kk… Facepalm-desk-floor-wall-anything! the annoying part is that they are not working on sunday! this is going to kill me! thanks for the advice, will be on it immediately.

Fingers crossed!

So… what happened??

Yay, I am accepted! They say there are some mismatched with the names but fortunately, it was for accepted students. I guess I’m just going crazy from time to time. Thanks a lot.

Note to self: don’t overreact and make your life miserable for two days over trivial matters.

That’s great news Coolkh. Congratulations!
