Wrong choice?

So, I got into Indiana's Kelley for Finance with $9000/yr scholarship but then I decided to ED NYU Arts and Sciences for Economics ( and accepted), since NYU itself is located in a better area (employment-wise), and NYU is more respected (ranking-wise).

I would really like to work in BBs for M&A or mainly managing jobs. Did i make the right choice? should I have choosen to goto Indiana's business school?

(tuition wasn't really a problem if that affects the choice)

You made the right choice… Have fun.

You probably made the right choice, but I go to Indiana and got an 8k a year scholarship. I was going to apply to NYU, but my parents wouldn’t let me apply after they saw the tuition. So I guess it depends on how much money you have available. Kelley’s Investment Banking Workshop has a 100% placement in IB and related fields (just to advertise my school and make it look better).

Was that true this year? (2008)

I think so, but I am not sure. Their web site still advertises it, but it might be outdated.

Would it be harder to get jobs in BBs with BS Economics than getting a degree from kelley as bs finance?
