Wrong College Admission Year for Common App Account

Hi everyone,
I’m currently a senior at high school. My problem is that when I was creating my Common App account, I chose to say that I’ll be entering college in 2019, not the 2017/2018 year. I definitely am not planning on taking a gap year or gap semester – I want to start school next year. Really silly mistake on my part, but I can’t find a way to change it. My guidance counselor said that I should ask the help desk, but I don’t know what section I should ask for help under.
Does anyone know how to get help for this? Or how to change the year without asking the help desk?
Thank you in advance.

edit: I forgot to mention I tried to make a new account under another email, but a notification popped up and said that since my information is the same as my old account, I can’t make two. (They’re different emails, but I’m using the same name, address, etc.)

Above you posted “not the 2017/2018 year” that year has already started so that is why you can’t change it to that. If you are a typical senior you will graduate some time in Spring 2018, so you’d be looking to start school in Fall 2018. See if that is an option.

@BuckeyeMWDSG There were only three options: 2017/2018, 2019, and 2020 (I think it was 2020). But yeah, there were definitely only three options and the rest of my friends said they chose that they’re entering college in 2017/2018. I also chose the 2019 when I was making the account and I can’t find how to change it now.

edit: the choosing the wrong college admission year thing happened when I was making the account and they asked a bunch of questions in the beginning. I didn’t choose it afterward.

Looks like the help center is pretty easy to contact and they say they will respond within an hour. http://www.commonapp.org/help-center
