So I just looked at my ACT score and its 1 off for English. On my application I had put 27 instead of 28. I was already accepted so my main issue is them cancelling my application. Can I call them up, tell them to change it and send another score report to them? I am sort of freaking out right now…I mean I wasn’t cheating by putting in a lower score than I had, right?

Dude you are fine! Its no biggie, just call them and get it all settled, maybe if you put 29 instead of 27 thatd be a big deal but you put the lower score and got in.

Also, I put 3.71 as my GPA. I used the CSU GPA. Please tell me I used the correct one? I mean I would assume so since it’s a CSU school.

you’re fine. don’t worry you’re supposed to put in the csu gpa. all you have to do is call the admissions office on Monday and tell them that about the mistake and there shouldn’t be any problem. you’re score report would have had the correct score so maybe they already know that you put in 27 instead of 28 by mistake.
it’ll be okay and congratulations mustang!

Do they check the + or - of a grade? A whole bunch of mine are different. I would assume the actual letter grade is all they look at?

Sorry, just really paranoid about getting in. I don’t want any issues

they don’t check the + or -. just the letter grade. if you’d like to calculate your gpa according to csu standards use the gpa calculator on csu mentor: [CSUMentor - Plan for College - High School Students - GPA Calculator](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU)

Okay phew! Okay cool I’m not as worried anymore

Hey everyone! I made a Facebook Cal Poly SLO Class of 2016 Group Page! PM me for the link.

@Scozzar - Your fine. Just call to make sure.
@cpclassof2016 - there already is a facebook page…PM me for the link.

Is anyone else sort of paranoid that they might have accidently put wrong info?
I’m like 99.9% sure I got everything right on my application, but now that I got in I’m worried about every possible worst case scenario.

It would seriously ruin my life if I messed up and put one wrong grade and they rescinded admission. :(

casurfer: don’t worry about anything. if there’s any mistakes in your application, cal poly will contact you and give you time to correct it. (this happened to my friend-there’s nothing to be worried about. they understand that everyone makes mistakes once in a while)
so don’t stress out and be happy that you got in.
btw, are you going to choose tenaya because of the LLP business program or one of the other dorms? i can’t choose between tenaya and sierra madre.

NIfashionT has given you all the correct info – do not worry at all. You’re in! Start planning the rest of your year in school and make sure to put the Spring admitted students open house on your calendar, plan for SOAR in the summer and get excited for WOW Week the week before classes start. All three events are a must!! You are gonna love it. My kid just finished his first quarter and there are absolutely no doubts in his mind that he is in the right place. My formally “free agent” kid is now sporting all kinds of Cal Poly clothing and other gear including a big Cal Poly sticker on the top of his laptop!

Start exploring every part of the Cal Poly website and start to get a feel for the clubs and activities that you will participate in. My kid is in Santa Lucia with all the other engineers and has made a ton of friends, but what he really likes are the clubs. He is in the supermileage club building cars with high fuel efficiency for competition and loves it. Find similar things for yourself and get excited about it.
