I didn't get my first choice for the intro to engineering class (mechanical), I got my second choice (modern structures). That implies that the first choice is full. Soooo.....any chance I'm gonna get to change?

If you REALLY want the first class, just keep trying to add it during add/drop. Also, go to the lectures and then talk to the professor; many are pretty accommodating in these situations.

Seuferk, I'm almost in the same exact position. I'm undecided, but I would've liked to have either mech or nano, but got structures. But I also have a conflict with structures and physics, so idk, maybe they'll let me change?

Try add/dropping. But my friend, who ended up in her third choice was very happy with her class. I have heard a lot of great things about modern structures, so you never know.

How important are intro classes? Say I wanted to go into mechanical engineering, would not taking the mechanical class hurt me?

No. 10char

just add drop.

Intro classes are not very important. They're just to give you a feel for what engineering is, you can take anything really.
