When I originally made my college board account I put in my nickname, when registering for the SAT I realized this and changed my CB account to my legal first name. Well when I printed the ticket and sat down to take the test it hadn’t occurred to me that on my admission ticket was my nickname, not my legal name. The proctor said to put down the same name on the test as was on my ticket, so I put my nickname on the test itself. I realize now that the name which appears on the test itself is different from the name on my account. Will this affect the ability to see my scores on my CB account? Or will the account ID number override this mistake? Should I contact college board? Thanks
Call the College Board, and tell them what happened. My D had a similar issue. Once they fix it on their end, your tests will have your correct name. Just remember to always use your legal name in the future with all things college related.
Yeah, call CB since they have to change the name on the account. And the name on your ticket has to match the name on the ID you show at the testing center.
We had a similar issue. Somehow the name that got entered for my son’s CB account when he took his PSAT was one letter off from his legal name. When I went to sign him up for his SAT, I had to call CB to get the name on the account changed…
