I signed up for the Math I Subject Test because I am really not the strongest math student. Is that a mistake? Should I have taken the Math II? I don't completely understand the difference between them.

Math II just has a few more subjects it tests. If you have taken precalculus, you should be fine taking math II. The grading curve for the math II is a lot easier because you can miss like 3-5 questions and still get a perfect score. If you have taken precalculus or higher and feel comfortable with the stuff you learned, I suggest taking the math II. If I remember right, you can change tests you want to take the day of the test no charge and if you aren’t taking any other subject tests, you can always have fun and take both :)

Of course, if I am reading wrong and you have already taken the test, then most of what I said doesn’t really matter.

Wait- have you signed up for it, or have you already taken it?

On test day you can simply change it if you want.

If you’re not sure which to take, get a copy of The Official SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics Levels 1 & 2 Study Guide and take a practice test for each level.

If you feel comfortable with slightly “more advanced” not necessarily harder math, take the Math II. (It has a nice curve on it).
If you are quite weak in Math, you can take Math I, with its difficulty comparable to the SAT Math Sections.
