I filed FAFSA on time on January. However, I entered 4 school codes but I entered the wrong school code for the university I'm going to.

Instead of University of San Diego in La Jallo, I entered the University of San Diego in San Diego

I fixed it in the FAFSA website by entering the right School code (001317), but now I'm wondering what are the consequences?

I've had an EFC of 0 and am a resident of California. How will this impact me?

You may have missed out on aid that may have been available if they had your information earlier. By this time of year, it may be fully allocated to other students.

Oh man. Do you have any estimates on what I may be missing out on? For instance, I think I read somewhere that Pell grant won’t be affected. I don’t know what I should do though.

Contact the school’s Financial Aid office ASAP, explain the situation, and they will be able to answer your questions. No need to fear calling them. The call won’t make it any worse for you.
