What happens if I applied and was accepted in a school(Liberal Arts), but I really want to be in a different school. Can I transfer? Or what happens?

well u start takin the classes for ur specific major after 2 years so for teh first 2 years evryone basically takes the same classes, so i'm ASSUMING u can choose a new shcool after 2 years when u hit university park.... i dont kno if i worded myself correctly enough to answer ur question :) but i hope it helped a little bit

Well, I got accepted into University Park, its just that there are a bunch of different schools there. I think the LAC is probably a lesser respected one, which isn't exactly what I want.

well I would guess that in order to transfer youd have to make sur eyou have a good GPA? because the spots in the specific college would be filled up depending on which you desire to transfer to

at somes colleges, internal transfering is extremely easy (cornell), while at others (NYU) it is virtually impossible

E-mail the admissions office...

I think you mean you want to transfer to a different college at U Park. I depends on what college you want to transfer in to. For example, Engineering would be difficult, Arts & Architecture would be tough - they have higher requirements and/or portfolio reviews, auditions... Call an admissions counselor. During FTCAP you will have an opportunity to speak to a counselor. I know students who changed their major 3 times before they even started their Freshman year!

Yes I also know someone that changed her major the summer before she started at the orientation. You definitely can do it, but it cant be into a controlled major, such as finance or engineering say....

My d is a freshman in her 2nd semester. She went in as an undecided student. I think this semester she might declare a communications and speech disorder major. I believe she can actually even declare it online, without seeing an advisor since it isnt a controlled major.
