I’m currently a sophomore, and I want to major in the physical sciences (particularly physics), but my spike is music. I am in multiple clubs and bands, and I started a band that played at homecoming and other school events. Is this a bad thing for an application?

A lot of science students participate in music in college and beyond. Cal Tech, MIT etcetera have faculty/student orchestras. it’s very common.
Do the things you enjoy.
Music is a variation of math so is a good EC if you are talented or have a,long history. Spikes are best four on strips that control traffic! You can never know which schools appreciate your math and others think eh.
