I replied...but in a very generic "I acknowledge this email" kind of way. No specific questions.

I don't think I'm going to bring a very formal dress.

I don't think I'm going to bring a very formal dress.

Though we need to be on campus by 3pm Sat?

Yes, we do. Can you believe it's this Saturday?! :D

Well between 3 and 5 right??

is it possible to pack too much? because my method of haphazardly stuffing everything from my room into the bag seems to have resulted in my packing every article of clothing i have ever owned short of maybe my ski pants into this duffel bag. id like to pre-apologize to my roommate for the mess of clothes i will undoubtedly make.

on another note- i already have plans for friday july 7th. i am going to see Pirates of the Carribean Curse of the Dead Man's Chest. anyone can join me or no one but i need to see that movie. it is my favorite ever. and i will be wearing my captain jack sparrow tshirt.

4 days. 3 nights. gah!

Ackkkk!!! Another mindless jonny depp idolizer!!! hope james dean wouldnt roll over in his grave really hope not

I'll go see it, definately. I'm sure 40 other girls will want to go too :-P

Its funny you should mention this, because just last night I saw an ad for the movie on T.V. and I realized that it was coming out in the middle of the program...I actually was inspired enough to go check where the movie theatres were around MIT, but I'm not very good at finding maps :-/ so I just gave up...I'm assuming we'll learn where they are pretty quick once we're there

I'm in.

Too bad we can't go see it at midnight...I've always wanted to do that.

Haha, or you could ask the MIT students...?

The closest/most popular movie theaters are the AMC Boston Common theater (take the Red Line to Park Street, then walk a few blocks) and the AMC Fenway theater (take the Red Line to Park Street, then switch to the Green Line D train; take that train to Fenway Station). I think the Fenway theater is actually closer as the crow flies, but the Boston Common theater is more accessible by T.

60 hours til i get on the plane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you! Is it possible to tell them not to schedule class on Friday...? :p Or else we could just go immediately after the last class and then buy tickets and if sold out till like the 9 o'clock show, wander around Boston? Thanks Mollie, by the way, for the info!

My flight leaves at 6:50 on Saturday morning so about 66 hours for me?

Right, so we should probably go to the Boston Common theater then. Thanks Mollie! Oh, the movie probably WOULD be sold out if we show up the day of...we should buy tickets in advance...then we can avoid the lenghty line and saunter in the theater while other people look on enviously. lol.

My flight leaves around 10am, I think. 70 hours? That's SO SOON...I just started packing like two hours ago. Eeeee...

Oooooh Pirates! I am so in! Yeah, I think it'd be cool to see it at midnight too, but oh well.

I'm driving up to Boston, but that means it's about a nine hour trip. I leave in almost exactly 48 hours (stopping at a hotel Friday night). It's so soon!

Ackkkk!!! Another mindless jonny depp idolizer!!! hope james dean wouldnt roll over in his grave really hope not

umm do you want to not call me a mindless johnny depp idolizer before you even meet me? thanks. and by the way i said i had a captain jack sparrow tshirt and for any "mindless" people out there, johnny depp != captain jack sparrow. Johnny Depp is an actor. Captain Jack Sparrow is a pirate.

And you can buy tickets online at Fandango. Shoulda mentioned that last time. :)

EDIT: Oh man, and you can already buy tickets for Pirates. That's intense.

Hey guys! I know I've posted only twice or so here, but I have been faithfully following the thread! haha, anyway, I'm just wondering--we all got an email from Ms Skier about "Questions and Answers" or something like that, and she said something like, "My last email raised questions". Well, what last email?? That's the first email I've gotten from her since May! Would someone mind filling me in as to what the original email said?? I checked my junk box and my inbox, and I can't seem to find that first email! Thanks! :)

The email before that wasn't very important in that it was just a reminder of the stuff said in the packets and stuff.

Before that I think she sent an email about going to http://wtp.mit.edu/students.html to find out the geography of the students and stuff.

haha I didn't get the email about going to http://wtp.mit.edu/students.html, so thanks for adding that as well :-)

2 days left!

Thanks so much, even if it wasn't that important, I still feel better, haha. And like krica205, I also didn't get that geography email! Oh well; I do remember getting a general email about the page for admitted students, where you can find that geography link. Thanks!
