WUSTL 2019 RD

I don't think one of these has been started yet, so let's get excited for WashU RD! Has anyone else applied/ is applying?

@edcvfr‌ I’ve applied, visited, interviewed…everything! I’m really hoping that’ll be enough to get in.

I’m applying rd!!! I did the interview and am visiting, but I don’t think I will get in because I just got denied from vandy early

Deferred ED… Visited twice, interviewed once. Applying to NWU, JHU, WFU, UVa, UNC, Cornell, Dartmouth… but WashU still my top choice.

How do you send WUSTL your act scores? I tried adding the college on the ACT website but it doesn’t appear in teh list :/

they have it on their website… and i found it on their list? try searching schools via states

Good luck! :)

Guys, I’m strongly debating on whether or not to apply? I’m extremely anxious. Does anyone know someone who got accepted to Wash U with a 27-29 on the ACT?

Deferred ED too…

you were deferred ED? what was your ACT score?

Hey guys I have a question. Does Wash U care about interest? Also, to any of you who have visited, is there any formal check-in once you get there that would mean they track visits? Thanks

They care a ton about interest!! And yes, there is a formal check in and they usually give you an interview on campus too.

Hey guys, I have a question. I’m strongly debating on it. Should I even apply?. Does anyone know someone who got accepted to Wash U with a 27-29 on the ACT? I have a 29 :(

do you guys think I could get in? someone please answer

I don’t think your chances are too high, but if the application fee isn’t a problem, go for it. It doesn’t hurt to try.

do you know anyone who got in with that score recently but stood out in another way?

@fdolakstart you might want to look at the WUSTL ED 2019 thread as students are reporting their stats with their admissions and deferrals.

My D has applied to WUSTL RD. We visited the campus in fall 2013, went to a local alumni tea, and she has an interview scheduled later this week. For those who have already had an interview, do you have any advice for her?

Hey guys! I just got rejected from Rice ED, but Wash U was a close second. I submitted my app the second I got the bad news. I’m planning on applying for the University Scholars Program in Medicine, but I’m pretty sure I’d have no chance of getting it.

@CoMoMom‌ I had my interview with an admissions officer, though many have them with students. It was my first interview and I was so nervous!! But he was really nice, and we bonded over our love of writing research papers. Be prepared with a few questions to ask, and have smart questions, not ones that could be answered by your tour guide. But really just be comfortable and relax!! Follow up with a nice thank you letter.
