I visited and interviewed last week and am thinking of sending a "Why WashU". Would this be a good idea?

Also if it matters, not applying for financial aid.

Had solid ECs in HS. Couple leadership positions etc.

very impressive! Id say you have decent chance for WUSTL, just write an appealing essay about why WashU, good luck!

Thanks gobackto2005

However, it appears that my application just got sent to the committee today meaning it's probably too late to send an essay in anyways =/ Oh well, I feel my commonapp essay was good and spoke of legitimate reasons regarding why I want to transfer. It's unfortunate that I wasn't able to send in specific essay for WashU after visiting but I suppose it's not required anyways.

got our experimental econ (380) exams back today.

88.5/100 (only freshman in the class though)

will probably send out grade to washU tomorrow.

Good chance only if you can continue your stellar performance in the spring semester.

Good luck on admissions!

Thanks MakeBank

also, could someone give me chances for Northwestern, University of Rochester, and Claremont McKenna?

Applied to Claremont McKenna ED last year and was rejected.

I dunno much about U of Rochester. But Northwestern have pretty friendly acceptance rate for tranfer applicants.
btw, you havent have your transcripts sent out yet? or you mean the econ class etc. for the mid-term report? If you mean the transcripts, u'd better hurry up or either have them faxed though...

oh no, my transcripts have been sent out. Just washU doesn't say anything about a midterm report so I have been sending washU copies of my exams. Just to show them that I haven't been slacking off and that I am towards the top of my upper level courses.

I'd say you are most likely in. I spoke to them last year and the average GPA for both Emory and WUSTL is 3.5

Thanks Bruins, I sure hope so :X I'm nervous as hell. Just want to know where I'm going next year.

I think you look great!
Just a curious question, you are an Indian and also a member of Chinese Student Association?

haha yes, I am Indian and a member of Chinese Student Association. Thanks for the chances!
