Here is a thread for all the ED hopefuls :)

Nobody?! D:

WUSTL is on S’s list but not ED. While I’m here, can anyone help be better understand the difference between EA and ED? TIA

@G8rDad I am not super sure, but here is my understanding:

Early Action is not binding. Students are simply notified earlier. It isn’t always beneficial, as the applicant pool is more competitive.

Early Decision tends to give a student an advantage and is binding. You may only apply to one school early decision. If you are applying early decision, you may apply to early action (as long as it isn’t Restricted Early Action and the school doesn’t have other provisions)

Thanks @sallymeno11!

D just decided to do ED

i am applying ED to WUSTL

Applying ED to Wash U

Last year, WUSTL promised ED answers by Dec 15–decisions arrived online 6 days early–Dec 9th around 5 PM Central Time. Upper class posters indicated that this same timing had occurred several years running.

Great to know @jeffthink! I will be submitting my app soon :D

Just submitted application. Time to wait and contemplate.

I will be submitting my application sometime next week! I am very excited, but also incredibly nervous.

I’m applying ED to WashU :D

Which school within WashU are you guys applying to? :)

Sending in my ED app for arts and sciences tomorrow!

does anyone know how much they consider your 1st quarter grades? I have As in all of my AP classes but I got a B+ in my only regular level class, will this totally kill my chances of getting in?

no, lmao

They don’t care that you got a B+.
