Did washu actually say that itll take longer or was that an inference

@turndown4college they told her they had a record number of applicants, but from her time working there she said when that happens it sometimes takes them longer to release decisions

Idk i feel like they wouldnt disclose that information to her.

The thing is… No matter how many apps they get, if they want everyone to be able to receive the letter by the 15th, then the date the letters have to be mailed, which is the date results are posted on Pathway, remains the same. The post delivery time can’t change.

I don’t think the post delivery date will be any later…we just might not get online decisions as early

The latest it would go is Wednesday and MAYBE Thursday (cuz I feel like that may even be too late), but for sure, I’m pretty sure it will be before Friday. However, tomorrow still feels like a big possibility.

@indecisive73 the thing is that they post decisions once everything has been mailed out so if they have to have everything mailed out tomorrow then they’ll be posted tomorrow

I really hope so!! @Acatalepsy

@indecisive73 Yea they have to have every single person get the letter in mail by 15th, but from stalking prior discussions of the years before us, the letters are mailed the day decisions go up online. If they want to keep the same date of Dec. 15th, which they will, then decisions should be up anytime between Tuesday to Thursday. In previous years, decisions have gone up on Pathway anywhere between 4-6 days before the 15th.

Lol I feel like I’m analyzing some history graph or something with all these dates X_X

Anyone nervous about possibly going to college near Ferguson?

I really think it will be up tomorrow

like i said i talked to my dad who works at ups and he said in order for letters to get everywhere across the country on monday then tomorrow would pretty much be the deadline for mailing them out

I’m a St. Louis native. I have absolutely no “fear” of Ferguson, even if its over a 2 hour walk away from WashU

@brownspud I mean hopefully things will have died down in Ferguson by the time we would start, but I’ve also heard that WashU is like a bubble with a safe campus

@turndown4college So Wednesday will be too late right?

@Acatalepsy yeah pretty much… i mean unless they were to rush the mail with like 2 day air or something but my dad seemed pretty confident it would have to be tomorrow

@Ctesiphon I haven’t been following the news very closely so I wasn’t too sure about the actual magnitude of the situation
@indecisive73 That’s sort of a good and bad thing

the packages arrive UPS or priority…so that takes 2-3 days… it could ne a slate as Wed or Thursday before we hear anything. Everyone take a deep breath and RELAX.
