WUSTL ED 2019 Discussion

My D was accepted ED last year. I just scrolled back in our text history–she informed me (right after finding out) at 5:40 PM Eastern Time on Monday, Dec 9th. She sent me a picture of the wustl pathway screen- I am looking at it now- Up top it says “Decision Notification”. Right under that it says “Congratulations! You’re admitted!” And then a letter below that.

She got an email saying decisions available- click here or something like that. There was no prior indication of when decisions would arrive. Good luck everyone!

For those of you who cannot breathe, I have an idea-- Go to CC page for a couple of schools that you are considering if Wash U does not come through. Read all about them. I am sure they are also great schools–start the process of falling in love with one or more of them. You can return to obsessing about Wash U if/when you get in. Just a thought- don’t want any 18 year-olds have a heart attack here. :-)

@jeffthink thank you! What were her stats if i may ask

I refreshed my pathway a moment ago and it said Welcome Victor Zeng, instead of my name! and I refreshed the page again, it said my name. OMG

Her stats were WashU average. SuperScored ACT=33; Her HS did not do class rank or GPA, but I’d say very good but not top of the top. HS counselor said her essay was very good and happened to mesh beautifully with teacher recs (lucky thing) and also that her super friendly personality would help as WashU is big on the “Collaboration; not Competition” thing. He advised her to she seek out her admissions officer to say Hello while on campus even though meeting your rep is not part of the official visit agenda. Luck plays a part. I imagine everyone on this thread is qualified. Good luck everyone!

OMG. I refreshed WUSTL pathway a bit ago and it said Anthony insert something that starts with a C instead of my name. cough

I believe someone said the pathway went down right before decisions came out. So maybe this is it!

Same thing happened to me again!

do you think the “welcome” means something? i dont remember if it was yhere before

It says the right name for me…

Yeah everythings fine for me too

Nothing happened on my pathway

OMG you guys are way more tightly wound than I have seen on here the last couple years. This is hilarious.

Yes, I agree. There are over 300 posts already!

“Everyone has inside them a piece of good news. The good news is you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is.” Some words of encouragement from Anne Frank.

Please remember that each and every single one of you maintains the potential and ability to be the change you wish to see in the world. Most of us are freaking out…to be honest, I am, too. But this problem is a very good one to have. It could be worse and for that I feel that regardless of your admission decision, we should all go tell someone who has helped us succeed how much their support has meant to us.
Best of luck to anyone and everyone who reads this. <3

Do you think it will be released at 3 or 5?

Probably around 5 pm central time.

Do you think it will be today?

Yes, I do. However, if it isn’t today it will definitely be tomorrow. Today is already 4 business days away from the 15th.

Is it okay to call the admissions office and ask them when the results are coming out?

I tried and they said this week. Maybe try?
