In-state does not make a difference at Wash-U.

It looks like most of the students come from Missouri, Illinois, New York, California and Texas.

Good luck! :)

I’m getting so nervous… When do you think it will be posted this year? The 9th?

It may be posted next week Monday, December 8th because it looks like it was posted on Monday, December 9th last year.

That news is both exciting and terrifying. Thanks for the update.

I can’t deal with the anxiety. It’s all I think about.

What do you guys think is a special part of your app that is probably going to help you get in?

For me, it’s probably being a girl that wants to enter engineering.

@sallymeno11 I agree with you I’m a girl and I want to go for engineering. I also think my letters of recommendation were pretty good

I have a question though. On the application it asked us to state our choices for school. I put Engineering for my first choice and Arts and Sciences for my second. If i don’t get into Engineering I still have a possibility of getting into Arts and Sciences right?

At Wash U, you don’t have to declare your major until February of your sophomore year. So you have lots of time to decide on your major(s). :)

34 ACT, born with both male and female genitalia. 67 different ethnicities. Going for practical majors; hopeful printmaking and research-focused philosophy double major. I have an irrational fear of objects with smooth contours. Hope to see you all next fall!

Hhhahahahahahahha

Special part of my app… probably starting my own cancer research project this week is going to be hell. Are we receiving an email to let us know the decisions are up on the pathway, or how does this work?

Last year my daughter got an email after they posted the decision on her pathway account. Then a few days later you will get a notification in the mail. There will be a lot of activity on college confidential too.

Wow nyorker98 that is awesome!!!

@newjersey17 at what time was it posted?

She found out about 3 pm Central time.

:( I’m so nervous. Does anybody know around what the ED acceptance rate is? I’m hoping the fact that they don’t officially release it means that it’s disproportionately high

In 2013, WashU’s early decision acceptance rate was ~27%.

<a href=“2013 College Acceptance Rates - Interactive Feature - NYTimes.com”>2013 College Acceptance Rates - Interactive Feature - NYTimes.com;

It’s so low :’(

A lot higher than RD…tick tock :-SS

@sallymeno11 but the year before it was 30% and the year before was 23% :(( its so inconsistent
