WUSTL: Get excited?

I've done a chance thread before (thanks), but I'm doing this one because I'm wondering whether or not I should even bother further researching this school, or if (in conjunction to problems with distance), I should just restrain. I am applying to six schools and I only have one other than is a low reach, so I have room, but I'm curious what my chances might be.

GPA: 3.6-3.7 UW (school doesn't weight or rank)
Rigor: 7 APs by end of senior year (1/3/3), all honors where offered (10)
SAT: 2250 (780W, 750CR, 720M, final, one sitting)
ACT: 31 (32E, 33M, 33R, 26S not retaking)
ECs: This is kind of the breaking point with me. I work 15-30 hours per week and I'm low-income, so that's SUPPOSED to be considered an EC... I have a good number of community service hours because I've been elected Junior President of my community organization. I switched to a distance learning school, so these ECs are from my old high school
--Student Government member (9/10)
--Freshman Speaker on the Council ("President" - appointed)
--Sophomore Class President (elected)

My concerns are my ECs (which are fine, but nothing really "special" and I have no idea what WUSTL wants) and that I need a lot of financial aid, so would I be in the running for merit aid? What are my chances of getting in at WUSTL (Washington University at St. Louis)?

Edited to add: I'm African American (since CC seems to put a lot of stock in Affirmative Action), plus first generation, although that might not be a big deal.

Wow! I think you look pretty good for Wash U in my opinion, you definitely have leadership and your SAT score is very solid. The fact that you are low income and an African American should also help you for Wash U. Yeah, you should continue to research!

IMO, you have a good shot at WUSTL. Have you looked into scholarships at Wash U? There are the Ervin (Erwin?) and Rodriguez scholarships that are aimed at minorities, and maybe you could work towards getting one.

You are in at Washu. Quite frankly I see you getting into the Ivies as well.
