[ b]General Comments:
CONGRATS to those accepted!

yeah I just don’t want to say which one. It was for ED in December. According to D the girl involved took it very well, was very equanimous about it. Her school has a prominent advising staff, they told <…> that it had better never happen again.

mmmm @themiah06‌ you sure about those nums? There are about 7500 undergrads total so 1650 sounds a little low to admit. Remember, about 35% of the offers will be accepted, so yeah, probably admitted 5000 resulting in a 15 - 18% admit rate, just off top of my head. That assumes 29k+ applied.

That’s what it said on my acceptance letter.

Excited for the acceptance, no doubt. A little wary, however, on my prospects at the big name schools, again because of my relatively generic standout factors, but we’ll see. I would have no reservations going to WashU!

[ul]
[] Strengths: Essay, Strong academics (almost all A’s in extremely rigorous IB coursework with 4 Higher Levels), Recommendations for sure
[
] Weaknesses: Didn’t get to show more writing in essays since there was no supplement, no demonstrated interest.
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: For sure a mix of a very strong applicant pool and not showing enough interest. Besides requesting an interview (without reply from the school), showed absolutely no interest in the school (not that I wasn’t interest because I very much was). My mistake.
[
] Where else were you accepted: Accepted to: University of Southern California (Presidential Scholarship Finalist, Selected for Honors in Engineering), University of Texas Austin (Biomedical Engineering and Plan II Honors), California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo (Biomedical Engineering, Out of State Scholarship Winner). Waiting for remaining regular decision applications[/ul]

General Comments:
I’m bummed out because now I wish I would have been more vocal about my interest in the school, but that’s my mistake. For now, I’m just going to move on and pursue my other great choices. Good job to everybody who got in, you deserve it. And for everyone that didn’t, you’re all still amazing and will have fantastic opportunities in the future!
