which is better for overall education, undergrad experience, science majors, research?

you need to be more specific, what is your major, what financial aid are you getting. etc etc

Overall Education: Probably Cornell with JHU close behind. Berkeley is great, but not necessarily so at the undergrad level from what I understand.
Undergrad Experience: Probably WashU (city) or Cornell (more rustic)
Science Majors: probably Hopkins, though Cornell/WUSTL/Berkeley are close
Research: Hopkins

Either way, these are all fantastic schools with great education, research, sciences, experiences, etc. Look at fit. Do you like Baltimore? or San Fran? Or St. Louis? or Ithaca? What type of students do you like? Do you want a big school? A smaller school? Or in between.

Prestige wise, they are all pretty similar though, if ranked, it would look something like:
Cornell
JHU
WUSTL

and I REALLY don’t know where to put Berkeley because undergrad at Berkeley is completely different from getting a grad degree from Berkeley.

i am planning to major in biology but am not sure and likely to change…i am communicating w/ the financial aid offices currently because i have a special circumstance…so i don’t know yet

thanks hope2getrice…i hope you get rice

If I had a dime for every time someone said this on this site, I’d have quite a bit of money.

Unfortunately, everyone who says this doesn’t go or has never been to Berkeley.

^^ Hey UCB, at least I didn’t throw Berkeley at the bottom of the list simply because of its size and lower student body stats :D
