Which school is better for pre-med? I know that they are both top for medicine, but which one has the better undergraduate experience for the pre-med track? Which has more opportunities for research and hospital volunteer work? Im having trouble choosing between the two. Thanks!

Both are amazing options for pre-med that you ought to look at other factors to help you make your decision.

Agree. Move to the next thing on your list of what you want in a school.

OP, have you visited both campuses and talked to the people there? When I visited JH, it moved DOWN my list, while after visiting WashU, it moved to the very top.

The two are probably much the same on the things you list. However, JH has a policy of grade deflation that is probably worse than WashU. And WashU is so beautiful. :)

(Warning: I’ve just been selected as an Amgen Scholar for the summer at Wustl, so I may be biased)

You really need to visit both campuses.

The one that fits you personally the best. The UG that matches best to you will provide the best environment for you personally that will lead to better performace. The best possible college GPA and MCAT score are the most important factor.
Yes, make sure to visit, maybe multiple times, talk to current students, talk to current pre-meds, check various majors, opportunities for minors and other opportunities for personal development, consider absolutely everything, pretty campus in nice location migh be important for some and there is nothing wrong with that. Other pay attention to sports. You a human being first, and future Med. School applicant second, you will be living at college for 4 most important years of your life. Make sure that the next 4 years are rewarding. If they are, it will be easier to fullfill Med. School’s requirements. Misery does not produce positive results.
