WUSTL vs USC vs ...Canada?

Hello,

I am a Canadian citizen, and I've been accepted into WUSTL, USC, U of Toronto, and McGill so far.

I have a vague sense of what I want to do, perhaps something in business, perhaps something in the arts department (art history?!), but definitely not science. For a student for whom money will not play a large role, which of these schools will be best for academic exploration?

(Again, I couldn't care less about science)

I know hardly nothing about the Canadian schools, except that they are large.

USC is also large. Not that it is bad, but it depends what you’re going for.

Wash U is medium sized (6,000 undergrads), so you’ll have more of an individualized experience. Wash U is also known for the flexible academics… most people have more than one major, and it is very easy to take classes and double major between divisions (like do both business and a liberal arts field, for example). Coming in Undecided is also totally okay at Wash U.

Wash U is definitely the most different between all of those schools, because of the relatively smaller student body size and more focused attention.

I have a D at USC (junior) and a D at WUSTL (freshman). USC is somewhat impersonal; WUSTL very student (and parent) oriented. WUSTL dorms & food light years ahead of USC. WUSTL D switched majors on first day of classes freshman year - was an easy process. USC D gets the run-around from everyone every time she needs something signed (no one seems to know who is in charge). When USC D visited WUSTL after her sister joined, her comment was: “Boy, I wish I’d applied to this school.”

I know that Toronto and McGill are GREAT science schools, but none are good business schools. I know USC is great for business, while WUSTL is great for the arts.
No doubt about it, choose USC and/or WUSTL. I guess it depends on your location/weather/money/etc preferences
