Hey guys,

I cannot decide where to go! I'm leaning towards WUSTL because my AP Chemistry teacher highly recommended it. I'm looking to for a good school that is balenced in education and social activities. I want to be a doctor so a school with good pre-med is ideal.

Lets see... I'm from Wisconsin by the way

WUSTL - Accepted
UW - Madison - Accepted
VCU - Accepted (Honors Program)
Northwestern - Waitlisted
UNC - Chapel Hill - Waitlisted

Any advice on where to go? Because I cannot decide! Thanks ahead of time

Madison, it’s a great school and probably a heck of alot cheaper than WUSTL.

Madison is a lot cheaper, but people are telling me wustl for medicine is a lot better.

Wisconsin without a doubt.

wustl is definitely more prestigious and has a great pre-med program, but you can’t go wrong with wisconsin either, especially because you’re in-state. consider what size college you want and if finances are going to be an issue. if i were you i’d go with washu; it sounds like what you’re looking for with the balance of work & play.

I would go with Wisconsin. WUSTL is great but not worth the extra cost (if it does cost more). Wisconsin has all you need and is a GREAT place.

This is all very helpful. Thank you!

Wisconsin bio programs>>WUSTL. Do well and you are in at UW Med School.

Yes, Wisconsin is AMAZING for getting into med school. It’s a huge research university, but you can make it as small as you want by getting involved in lots of clubs that let you have a tight group of friends. You cannot give up Madison in order to blow your money at WashU where you will face competetive classmates and a lacking social life in comparison to UW-Madison. Good luck! I hope you become a Badger–btw, Badger football is reason enough to choose UW!
