Does anybody know anything about the product sold on
www.act-secrets.com?

I would think it's crap because of the way the website rambles on and on about how good it is, but doesn't tell you anything about what it actually is. Kind of like work at home scams.

I figured I'd see if anybody tried it or knows anything about it

Sounds bad...

Mo-media and its affiliates are nothing but abject crooks. They publish dozens and dozens of ABSOLUTELY worthless guides. Google their address 3827 Phelan #179 Beaumont, TX 77707 and you'll see what I mean. All their testimonies are as fake as the name of the owners. The owner is supposed to be Pete Morrison but his signature is similar to Tom Paulson's.

Check the signature on this link and notice the similarities of the letter P and the little fish on the bottom. Criminals are really dumb! :)

http://www.act-secrets.com/google/
and this one

How those people stay in business is a miracle.

Maybe because clueless HS administrators recommend them! My S is a Junior and told me that his HS website has a recommended link to a "free" SAT practice website. I checked it out and the link took me to http://www.testprepreview.com/sat_practice.htm Now, that website itself is pretty innocuous and does nothing more than provide free practice SAT questions, which probably aren't worse than any other non-actual questions floating around out there. But the website also has a very prominent link to "Pete Morrison's" SAT secrets website. It's bad enough that the HS is recommending the free practice SAT questions without any caveats -- unfortunately, it's easy for a student to assume the HS is also recommending the paid course.

Thanks to CC and Xiggi for giving this clueless parent some good info. Now I just have to look into the fact that the HS is "offering a comprehensive study system that will help you prepare for the SAT. The cost is $25 and spaces are limited." Lord.

My d's hs website recommended --number2.com. It's free and acts as a one on one tutor. One question at a time, and if you get it wrong they give you a hint on how to do it correctly. We literally signed her up this week-end. Parents can sign up too - as a coach. (I think its a way to keep track of how much time kid spent on website and how well they did). I really won't know if the site is good until next week, as I doubt my d will spend too much time on it until the week-end-- but it really does appear to be free. It is also good for the SAT and GRE. So I'd love to get some feed back from someone who might use the website-- number2.com.
