So I went to my regents scholar interview place at the LA marriot. There were a couple past regent scholar recipients in this lobby like place that us interviewees could talk to before our actual interviews.

This fellow asian (what a surprise) I got to talk was in her 2nd year at Berkeley & IMO was kinda cute.

So after a while of asking her valid questions about Berkeley and stuff
I just asked "so.. how are you doing? =D"
It wasn't long until I saw she was soo unbearably nerdy. She had an awkward pause to answer that question. The way she talked too, I just realized, was really geeky.

We started talking about watchmen, and she told me she didn't like it because of the nudity. Talked about parties, she told me she never dances or drinks & did physics hw at a party once.

I started to not like her anymore and decided to just joke around with her. She told me all the promiscuous girls were at UCSB and I just responded "O hell yea!" . .. awkward laugh by her.
I told her about what I heard about the "Berkeley scale" & that you needed to add +2 for rating every girl you see there. another awkward laugh by her.
Stanford also came up in the discussion, & I told her, "ever been to stanfordrejects.com?" "No? ...quickly explain to her... cool right? hahahahha". She just smiled and gave a fake chuckle. I think she hated me by then.

I enjoyed my time messing with her.

Hope a lot of girls @ berkeley aren't like that... I assume its only because she was a regent scholar (nerdiest of the nerds), but yeaaaaa =]

haha. no, not everyone is like that - and from the regents scholars that I have met personally, there really isn't much to classify them by (not even nerdy). they seem just as diverse as the student body in every way (including academics).

if you end up going to Cal, you'll meet plenty more lamers like her, as well as plenty of super cool down to earth people who can appreciate a good joke (haha I thought the website was funny, especially considering it holds more truth than safetyschool.org although not quite the same ring)

^^^ DITTO.
except i'm laughing and I think this is one of the funniest things I've heard in a damn long time.
I'd give you a huge high five right now if i saw you. HAHAHA!
Nice work dude.

also just re-read what you said... "I enjoyed my time messing with her." don't be so quick to judge someone just because they have different preferences than you, you risk sounding like an ass.

edit: and yes, I did this too by agreeing with you in my first post. :(

Wait until nerds and geeks rule the world...Then you should be very scared by what they can do to you ;)

But really, the essence of alumni regent interviews are to determine whether or not you have the potential to be future leader. If they picked her the previous year and you find her to be "too nerdy," then I don't know if they'll find you to be leaderlike enough.
