<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>I hope you're all getting lots of acceptances.</p>

<p>In the past fortnight, many of us students at Columbia have been busy creating WikiCU, a comprehensive insider's guide to the university. There are already over 800 articles.</p>

<p>We also have a Prefrosh Portal where we've gathered together all the information incoming first years NEED to know. The discussion pages on this portal are a good place to ask current students any questions.</p>

<p>The site is going to be officially launched in Student Council emails at the weekend, with publicity in the Columbia Daily Spectator at the start of next week. So you're actually getting word of this before the majority of current students!</p>

<p>That doesn't mean it's small though... 800+ pages of useful content. (2000+ pages in the complete database.)</p>

<p>In particular, you'll want to read up on the first year housing options before you submit the housing registration form. There are reviews of all five residence halls, along with pictures, floor plans, etc.</p>
