My school has a first come first serve waitlist system. I've moved up to #1 and #2 to the two classes I need, but I've been in this position for the last month and a half. These are upper division classes, so there's only one of the classes offered a semester.

For one class, it's full and I'm #2. I emailed the prof and he said he usually only gets 1-2 students dropping the class, but sometimes he gets none in a semester.
For the other, I'm #1 and I think I will get in because it's mixed class with grad students. The undergrad cap has been filled, but the prof said if the grad student cap does not get filled, he'll probably let me in. BUT, he said that grad student registration usually isn't done until closer to the semester so we wont know till last minute.

I need ONE more class to become a full-time student credit-wise. Currently, I have not received any financial aid or scholarships because I'm not a FT student.

In my shoes, would you:
1) stick it out for both of these classes? Wait till later? in this case I might get less finaid from my school (because they give out grants accordingly to FT students until they run out of money from what I know)
OR
2) Pick up the last gen ed class I need now?
OR
3) any other suggestions?

I was originally saving the last gen ed class for another semester because gen eds are more flexible, whereas my major classes are only offered one time slot, once a semester.

** I can only go to school in the morning till 1pm-ish because I have both an internship and a job this semester, so the gen ed class will be taking up the time slot of my WL classes.

My semester begins on the 26th. :(
